The Sun-Safe Playbook
A list of everyday things that quietly protect you from the sun
When we talk about sun safety, we’re not really talking about rules. We’re talking about habits. Small, boring, repeatable things that add up.
Outside of wearing a Sun Ray hat (which helps a lot), we brainstormed a list of everyday sun-safe things we’ve tried, tested, and occasionally forgotten to do ourselves.
If the sun ever feels relentless, come back to this list.
Hot tip: Shade is underrated.
Please use common sense while attempting advanced activities.
1. Put a hat by the door so you don’t have to remember it.
2. Wear the hat even when it doesn’t feel that sunny. (Advanced)
3. Choose the shady side of the street. Always.
4. Sit under the umbrella, not “near” the umbrella.
5. Reapply sunscreen before you think you need to. (Advanced)
6. Wear long sleeves and stop apologising for it.
7. Take five minutes in the shade instead of pushing through.
8. Walk the long way if it has shady trees.
9. Leave a spare hat in the car.
10. Leave another spare hat at work.

28. Let the sun set before you push through another task.
29. Finish earlier if you can.
30. Wear something comfortable enough to forget about.
31. Protect your ears. They cop it.
32. Protect your hands. They cop it too.

Do it again tomorrow.
